FFL Insurance

Freight Forwarding Liability (FFL) Insurance is a type of insurance that covers the liabilities of the freight forwarding companies engaged in national and international freight forwarding and warehousing business, arising out of their freight forwarding, transport, warehousing or other works related to freight forwarding within the conditions and limits specified in the policy.

TIO Authorization Certifcate

This regulation applies to legal entities that will perform international transportation organization. The purpose of this regulation is to determine the service principles and conditions of transportation organizers who will operate in the field of road, railway, sea or air transportation and/or combined transportation, and to: *Identify the rights, responsibilities and obligations of those involved in these activities, recipients and senders * Ensure the provision of transportation services that complement each other, control and utilize existing resources in a more efficient manner. *Develop a professional training and supervision system to ensure effective service provision. *Ensure that transportation organizers operate in compliance with national and international legislation. Real and legal entities participating in transportation organization activities must obtain a permit from the Ministry. It is essential for the transportation organizer to carry out its activities in accordance with bilateral and multilateral international agreements and contracts, laws, this regulation and other related regulations. The transportation entity is obliged to carry out its activities within the scope of this regulation in its notified centers and branches to the Ministry.

 

The Chamber of Maritime Trade

The Chamber of Maritime Trade is responsible for determining the rules and practices related to maritime transportation, conducting research, collecting information about maritime transportation, ensuring the development of maritime trade in accordance with the national transportation policy, providing information to foreign organizations about the capabilities and tariffs of Turkish ports, becoming a member of international organizations related to maritime affairs, monitoring their activities, and performing other duties specified in the law. Members: The members of the Chamber of Maritime Trade include ship owners, ship operators, ship agents, ship brokerage companies (brokers), shipping agents (forwarders), companies that load, unload, and stow cargo (stevedores), companies that benefit from loading and unloading (tug companies), ship classification organizations, ship insurance companies, insurers and their agents, ship surveyors and experts, and those who work in supporting services such as rescue, guidance, underwater scanning, yachting, marina operation, and ship provisioning.

FIATA was founded on May 31, 1926 in Vienna. It is known in French as "Federation Internationale des Associations de Transitaires et Assimiles" and in English as "International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations". FIATA has non-government organization status and represents approximately 40,000 freight forwarders and logistics companies in 150 countries. FIATA has consultative status in the UN Economic and Social Council.

The main goals of FIATA are: *To unite the global freight forwarding industry *To participate in international transportation-related organizations to represent and protect the sector's interests *To promote the services of freight forwarders through publications, announcements, and brochures *To improve the quality of services provided by freight forwarders through the creation of standard documents and trade conditions *To assist in the professional development needs and liability insurance of freight forwarders *To facilitate the use of technologies such as electronic data exchange (EDI) and barcodes.
